05/01/09 Alex Gough in the show at the Centre For Recent Drawing

ArtLab artist Alex Gough recently took part in the show dedicated to support the pioneering art charity ‘Centre For Recent Drawing' (C4RDS) in north London. The show ‘Edition 2' consists of the works donated by a group of artists. The charity's work involves improving awareness of the practice of drawing among members of the public and professional artists alike.

Alex Gough donated one of his Japanese wood block prints. The prints are echoed in full-scale works on canvas, which can be seen on the Art Lab website. The exhibition at the Centre For Recent Drawing, also included the work of the artists Gareth Bell-Jones, George Charman, Joe Graham, Kip Gresham, Jason Hicklin and Ben Jenner, many of whom have been exhibited at C4RD before. Each edition has been commissioned by C4RD to demonstrate the different approach in drawing within artist's oeuvre.
