01/11/09 Ivan Tennant’s tour of studios produces crop of new works.

For example, the artist run space, Studio 1.1 (illustrated) offered the opportunity to catch up with Jeremy Willett. This tour has led to a number of artists nominating new works for the ArtLab website. Current Highlights offers a selection of fascinating new works put forward by a variety of different artists.

 

Alex Currie offers his range of latest photography in which he studies Northern Cities’ relationships with their industrial and architectural past;

 

Ekkehard Altenburger submits the two wall mounted sculptural works that featured in the recent Jerwood Contemporary Drawing prize;

 

Stephen Walter has presented to ArtLab two photographic works, both of which revisit his interest in fantastical landscapes;

 

Shane Bradford has nominated a group of works that come hot from his exhibition in Munich this summer;

 

Paula Kane has made available to ArtLab a new painting, true to her manner of depicting landscapes composed from passages of old master paintings, but re-worked in her own inimitable style.
