What is ArtLab?

ArtLab is a unique and affordable way of enjoying high quality contemporary art in the home or workplace. Part consultancy, part online gallery, we offer our clients a single destination for all of their art requirements, from discovering single pieces to building an entire collection – all with the minimum of fuss.

How does ArtLab work?

ArtLab offers customers several different ways to acquire art, with options dependent on whether you are a Corporate customer (ie, you wish to use the art in a corporate setting such as an office), or a Private Customer (ie, you wish to acquire art for your home).

Corporate customers have the option to lease works through an affordable Art Plan, or make a straight purchase of the art.

Private customers have the option to purchase works through a flexible Purchase Plan, or, again, make a straight purchase.

What is an Art Plan?

Art Plans allow you to lease works from us from as little as £20 per month – with the option to swap works for others from our collection at any time. And if you fall completely in love with a piece on loan from us, that’s no problem – it’s yours to buy if you wish!

Which Art Plan is best for me?

We have Art Plans to suit all requirements and budgets, from first-time private customers to large corporate clients.

What are the benefits of leasing work from ArtLab?

Our Art Plans give customers access to a huge body of works from a selected group of artists, each of whom demonstrate the pursuit of a personal artistic voice. Leasing work through ArtLab allows you to tap into this collection, helping you to deepen your appreciation of art quickly and easily.

Because you can exchange your art at any time, you have the freedom to experiment and express your own taste – without the financial commitment usually associated with building a body of works.

Another huge benefit of ArtLab is that all works are framed, delivered and installed for you. We are also happy to advise on all aspects of the installation process.

How do I choose an Art Plan?

As you browse the site and add works to your basket, we will automatically calculate the most cost-effective Art Plan your your chosen works.

Once you are happy with your selection and have notified ArtLab of the works you would like to reserve, we will call you within 24 hours to discuss your options in more detail.

All plans allow you unfettered access to the Library, but limits are set as to the value and number of the works you can take out. You can break these limits at any stage, and the system will automatically find the most economical means for you to possess the new works you have chosen.

What is a Purchase Plan?

An ArtLab Purchase Plan is a flexible way for private clients to pay over time for their chosen art. We simply add a 20% premium to the monthly payments. For more details of our Purchase Plans, please contact us.

What if I have bought a work from you and want to change it?

If, having bought a work, you decide you would like to dispose of it, we can help you do this by introducing the work back into the Library. The work will be marketed through ArtLab and, should it go out on loan, you will receive a share of the loan revenue.

This option to trade should give you further confidence in making purchases from ArtLab in that you can recoup your investment, and possibly realise a profit, at any stage.

Do you have a gallery I can visit?

No, although we have a background in traditional galleries, ArtLab operates exclusively online. But sign up for our newsletter and we will keep you fully informed of any exhibitions by artists you are collecting, as well as any world events at which their work is featured.
